School policies are put in place to protect children and employees while trying to minimize liability for the school. In today's litigious society, these same policies sometimes get twisted the wrong way. A little common sense and some integrity on the part of school administrators could solve a lot of problems.
By the way, I really don't have a lot of tolerance for Zero-Tolerance policies.

It is amazing how some school systems act and react to the atmosphere of perceived liability. Too bad that the kids are usually the ones that suffer.
Schools are about as stupid as some of the parents their parents. School policies show that they really don't put the kids first. They are only worried about their own asses! Parents don't care either. They don't want to be inconvenienced by their kids. Its the children that lose out.
